Accescorp Automobile Sdn Bhd operates a network of authorised Perodua service centers across the Klang Valley, with three branches located in Kg Baru, Salak Jaya, and Puteri Bangi. The brief
The engagement began with a clear ask — identify Accescorp's actual technology needs across three operational branches, covering admin staff, technicians, and customer-facing service points, and deliver a consistent setup at each site.
Three groups of users with different IT needs:
- Admin team — service records, customer documents, parts inventory, and ideally remote-work capability during peak periods or unexpected disruptions
- Service technicians — dedicated devices ready for OBD diagnostic scanning and live vehicle inspections, mobile-friendly enough to move between service bays
- Customer-facing service counter — appointment booking, customer check-in, and on-the-spot quotation generation
And three geographic sites that needed the same level of reliability:
- Kg Baru
- Salak Jaya
- Puteri Bangi
Phase 1 — Discovery and needs analysis
Khalbyte's team visited each of the three branches separately, walked through the service workflow with admin staff and technicians, and mapped how data and customer interactions flowed at each step. Two recurring pain points emerged: technicians were sharing scarce workstations to run OBD scan tools (creating bottlenecks during peak hours), and admin records were being held in branch-local spreadsheets with no clean way to share data across sites or pull a unified view for management.
From the discovery, Khalbyte proposed a three-phase rollout: standardised admin workstations at each site, server storage with shared admin access, and dedicated OBD-ready technician laptops.
Phase 2 — Computer and workstation supply
Desktop PCs and peripherals delivered across all three branches, configured for admin productivity and front-counter service workflows. Each branch received the same model and configuration — identical operating system images, identical software stack, identical asset-tagging convention — so that troubleshooting, support, and future upgrades could be handled uniformly without branch-specific knowledge required.

Phase 3 — Server storage and centralised data management
The cornerstone of the cross-branch design. A centralised server storage setup capable of storing service records, customer documents, and parts inventory securely, with the flexibility to support work-from-home access during peak periods or unexpected disruptions.

Phase 4 — Laptop and OBD device provisioning for technicians
Service-grade laptops fitted for OBD scan tools and on-floor diagnostics, delivered to each branch's technician pool. The OBD-ready specification was important: not every laptop performs reliably with the heavy USB device polling that OBD diagnostic tools require, and the wrong device choice would have created intermittent failures right when technicians needed reliability most.
